Reports suggest that Seria A club AS Roma have set their sights on acquiring the services of Leicester City star man and Algerian International Riyad Mahrez, but are very much intent on not reaching the £43.7m asking price, which is the foxes’ valuation of the exciting attacker.
News from Mediaset Premium indicates that the Giallorossi have already agreed personal terms with Mahrez, who has been influential for Leicester since their return to the Premier League, winning a Premier League Player of the Year Award in the season of the club’s Premier League triumph.
However, the turn off seems to be Leicester’s asking price for the Algerian international, and the proposal from Roma seems to be closer to €30m
Arsenal are also among the top clubs that have been reportedly linked with a move for Mahrez. He plays predominantly on the right wing of attack and would be an effective replacement for Mohammed Salah who left for Liverpool.
