The English clubs are getting themselves prepared for next season with seemingly quality signings to boost their chances of a better finish next season, and Everton aren’t left out. The Blue boys from Merseyside have completed the signing of Ajax Captain Davy Klaassen on a five-year deal with the transfer fee quoted at £23.6 million. The Netherlands international leaves the club after spending six years with them.
Davy Klaassen made 163 appearances for the Dutch giants, with 49 goals to his name. His efforts paid off as he picked up 3 Eredivisie winners medals throughout his stay at the club. The 24-year-old has had a lot of playing experience during his time at Ajax and may not need much to persuade Everton manager Ronald Koeman that he is ready to participate in the Premier League.
The Dutch international would have had the perfect end to his Ajax career by his standard, a dream which was thwarted by Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United in the Europa League finals. Everton who seem to be on a player signing spree announced the arrival of the Davy Klaassen after their move for Sunderland’s Jordan Pickford was also completed.
Ronald Koeman and his Merseyside Blues are expected to continue the spending as the club is determined to build a quality squad with depth which can compete with the best in the land for the UEFA Champions League qualification spots next season
