Reports indicate that Chelsea striker Diego Costa is currently enjoying a post-season holiday as he reportedly decides on his future at Chelsea. The Spanish striker had been strongly linked with a move to China during the course of the 2016/2017 Premier League season where he helped Chelsea to the Premier League title.

Rumors of a potential return to the Vicente Calderon with Atletico Madrid have also emerged recently, as Costa had reportedly told the Spanish Press that he would only leave Stamford Bridge for his former club.

“I will only leave Chelsea for Atletico, If not, I will stay here. I’m not interested in other clubs.” He allegedly said.

He also appeared to have hinted on his departure from the club as he suggested that the Antonio Conte led side should make a move for Belgian Striker and former Chelsea player Romelu Lukaku in the summer.

Lukaku established himself as one of the best strikers in England and Europe in the just concluded season although there is a little matter of his level of consistency in scoring as Harry Kane overtook him to win the golden boot.

When asked for his opinion on the club’s reported potential move for the Everton striker, he responded:

“I do not know – that’s a decision for the club. Of course Lukaku is a very big player who played an impressive season. I hope he can sign at Chelsea because it’s a unique club.”

Diego Costa also made some remarks on the relatively new Blues striker Michy Batshuayi as he reportedly admitted that his departure could leave the forward with a decent chance of leading the line for Chelsea next season.

“He is a big player and has an impressive future for himself,” he said. “The past matches have proven that he has quality and scoring ability.

“He is a boy who will take great steps. Hopefully he will continue to grow – he has all the qualities to stay here. Batshuayi may stay because he’s young and I could be leaving.” Costa said.
