Everton have moved closer to appointing Marco Silva as new manager according to emerging reports. Silva has been continuously linked with taking over at the vacant managerial helm at Goodison Park since the departure of Sam Allardyce.
The Mirror has claimed that a deal has been agreed in principle between Everton owner Farjad Moshiri and Silva with the arrival of the Portuguese set to be confirmed before the end of the week.
Moshiri has also been engaged in negotiations with Watford over compensation after the club lodged a complaint against Everton over an illegal approach for Silva in October, and it has been reported that discussions are close to a conclusion.
Meanwhile, Silva is said to have already held talks with Everton’s new director of football Marcel Brands with regards to plans ahead of next season.
