Argentina international and Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero’s club season has come to an end due to a minor knee operation he underwent. This was confirmed by Man City boss Pep Guardiola in his press conference.
According to Guardiola, whose City side emerged as winners of the 2017/18 Premier League season last Sunday, Aguero will be on the sidelines for four to five weeks.
Sergio Aguero is Man City’s top scorer having hit the back of the net 30 times in all competitions this season, However, the injury which he suffered while training on March 10, may not rule him out of a place in Argentina’s Russia 2018 World Cup Campaign.
When questioned on the status of the striker’s season, Guardiola replied: “Here, yeah. He will be out for four or five weeks. He is in Barcelona right now. We are going to fight to get him to the World Cup.?”
