Rules and Criteria for the Footiehound league

  • Ranking is based on points garnered by each individual team in its league
  • Participants will be selected from the world’s top 5 football leagues based on UEFA country rankings – Click Here To View
  • The teams with the highest PPG are ranked top
  • Considering the strength and popularity of the leagues, the likes of the Bundesliga, Laliga Santander and the Premier league will have their top 4 sides eligible for the UCL featured in the league. The likes of the Serie A and the Ligue One will have only the sides with automatic UCL qualification and no play-offs featured.
  • Goals difference counts and will be used to separate sides with same PPG
  • 16 clubs make the cut
  • Table will be updated weekly as games are played. Final update will be at the end of all seasons across Europe to determine the highest ranking team
  • The PPG (Points per game) format is used to determine the top sides. Brilliant suggestion from our readers
  • AS Monaco now occupy the first position. We’ll see how far they can go
