Reports from the Sun suggest that Kelechi Iheanacho is free to leave Leicester city just 5 months after making the move from Manchester City in a 25 million Pounds deal.
Kelechi Iheanacho became the second most expensive player in the history of Leicester City after he made the move in the summer although things haven’t gone as the 21-year-old Nigeria international would have loved.
Iheaancho had to struggle with recurring muscle injuries after arriving at Leicester and has struggled to hit the ground running since then. His chances in the side have been limited thus far.
Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki are high above Iheanacho in the striking options list at the King Power and there are indications that the club feels they made a mistake with the acquisition of the player.
However, Iheanacho is on a five-year deal and the club may struggle to offload him with the aim of recouping the amount already spent on his services. The player has made just two Premier League starts for Leicester City this season and hasn’t scored for the club since October.
