Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis has resigned from the club to join Serie A outfit AC Milan.
The 53-year-old played a key role in the appointment of Unai Emery as a replacement for Arsene Wenger and will commence his new role at Milan on October 31.
According to Ivan Gazidis, the decision to leave Arsenal and join AC Milan was the hardest in his life. He said:
“Change and succession is not only inevitable for a club like Arsenal – it is necessary”
Arsenal have now appointed the head of football relations Raul Sanllehi as the new head of football while Vinai Venkatesham has moved to the position of managing director from his former role as the chief commercial officer.
