PSG’s Julian Draxler has urged Arsenal’s creative man Mesut Ozil to join him at PSG in the summer as the midfielder is about to engage in talks with the club over his future.
Ozil has just over a year left currently and is yet to sign a new contract despite being reportedly offered more than £200,000 a week by Arsenal.
However, Julian Draxler who is Ozil’s counterpart in the German National team is keen for both of them to unite at club level. During his interview session with the BBC World Service, Draxler said:
‘I would love to play with him every day,’ Draxler told BBC World Service.
‘For me, he’s a great player. I enjoy to play with him for every training, every match with the German national team.’
When asked if he thought Ozil would favor a move to the Ligue 1 outfit, he responded: ‘Yes, I think he’s a great player.
‘He would help every team in the world and I think he would enjoy the life here and even to play for PSG.’
Draxler also confirmed reports that he engaged in talks with some Premier League clubs before settling for a move to PSG that was worth £34million in January.
According to reports, the likes of Arsenal and Everton were among the clubs on the line that were keen for the signature of the impressive 23-year-old German before he left Wolfsburg.
He said: ‘You know we have been in talks with some clubs in England as well, but this time I decided to make the decision as to what I feel and what I prefer for myself.’
