Emerging reports from the transfer market indicate that Serie A giant, Juventus, have rejected a bid of € 70 million from Premier League Champions, Chelsea, for the services of Brazilian full back, Alex Sandro
Speculations had been rife recently of a move to Stamford Bridge by Alex Sandro even with rumors of a deal being agreed. It was also reported that personal terms have been agreed between Chelsea and the exciting full back.
Reports have suggested that the Serie A outfit is not willing to let Sandro leave, especially after the departure of Leonardo Bonucci, and have therefore knocked back Chelsea’s reported improved offer for the Brazilian defender, having initially rejected Chelsea’s first € 60 million offer sometime last month.
Tuttosport has revealed that Juventus are preparing to offer Alex Sandro a new contract, although the salary may not match that which Chelsea have offered. The club is willing to double his wages but will not offer him € 7 million-a-year which is being reported as what Chelsea offered him.
However, Juventus are reportedly keen on Matic and have contacted Chelsea over the availability of the Serbian midfielder, and Chelsea are believed to have made the improved bid during the talks for Matic. Juventus are also not willing to include Alex Sandro in a cash plus player deal for Matic.
