According to reports, Riyad Mahrez will return to training with Leicester City on Friday and has availed himself ahead of their game against Manchester City on Saturday.
The Algeria international is yet to train with the club since the failure of his proposed move to Manchester City in the course of the January transfer window
Leicester Manager Claude Puel had initially noted Mahrez’s absence for the game against Manchester City during a press conference on Thursday, although there are some recent developments with regards to his availability for the game.
“I think Riyad will be not available for the Saturday game against Manchester City,” said Puel.
“I hope he can get his head right and come back with us and work hard. The best way is to come back and enjoy his football.”
Puel has left the door open to a possible Mahrez return to the lineup, but it is left to be seen if he will be used against Manchester City.
Mahrez played his most recent game for Leicester against Watford in a 2 nil win on January 20.
