Liverpool appear to be one of the clubs that hit a gold mine in the summer transfer window going by proceedings on the pitch so far this season. They hardly dominated the news in the jostle for big money stars like their Premier League rivals but settled for Mohammed Salah as one of their attacking masterminds, and Voila! a great move it was!

The Egyptian may have started the season in less clinical fashion but has grown into the Premier League and has been ravaging opposition defenses with goals domestically as well as in the big one, the UEFA Champions League.

Salah’s arrival at Anfield saw the fans come up with a nickname for their exciting attackers. The combination of Salah, Mane, and Coutinho in the Liverpool attack was tagged as Salah-Mane-Cou, and the excitement fans looked up to in the course of this season is materializing already, and there are many more games to go for the Liverpool attack to gel.

Salah has been brilliant for Liverpool this term and has also exceeded expectations already. He has played out his money’s worth in such a short period, and he still keeps on giving. Who would have thought that Mohammed Salah would be one of the attackers dominating the scorer’s chart 13 games into the season?

The exciting speedster’s performance has been one of the highlights of the 2017/2018 Premier League season. 14 goals and 3 assists in 18 appearances for a non-Center Forward is no mean feat. That’s 10 goals in 12 Premier League appearances and 4 goals in 5 UCL appearances. We could say that Salah has stolen the spotlight from other big money acquisitions leading the attack of other opposition teams and we may not be wrong.

Still early days yet! But Salah deserves the plaudits for hitting the ground running in a Liverpool side that also comprises decent attacking talents in Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Phillippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge. We’ll see how far he goes by the end of the season, but next stop is at the Bet365 Stadium as Stoke welcome Liverpool. I wouldn’t bet against him grabbing a goal.
