According to reports, Spanish League Champions, Real Madrid have decided to back off in their pursuit of Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard, and have turned their attention towards signing a younger player.

Eden Hazard has been the subject of various speculations on a big money move to Real Madrid in recent months following his brilliant performances since his switch from Lille to Chelsea.

El Bernabeu reports that Eden Hazard is no longer the subject of interest in Real Madrid’s transfer goals this summer, as the club’s president Florentino Perez has his eyes on Monaco’s French wonder kid Kylian Mbappe, who was a hot prospect over the course of the just concluded season.

Mbappe has scored at least 20 goals in his breakthrough season for Monaco carving a niche for himself as unarguably the hottest teen prospect in European football currently, and reports suggest that only a world record transfer fee can lure him away from Monaco.

However, Real Madrid also aim to develop the footballing prospects and talent of Marco Asensio as they try to ensure he attains a world class footballing status, as some school of thought believes that an eventual move for Eden Hazard would definitely halt the development and prospects of the Spanish youngster in the Los Blancos team.

Chelsea fans, and the club boss, Antonio Conte would definitely be happy with this reported development and supposed end of Hazard pursuit by Real Madrid. The Belgian contributed 16 goals and 5 assists to Chelsea’s title winning team of the just concluded 2016/2017 season and is in line for a bumper contract offer from Chelsea

Hazard alongside his Chelsea teammates could be celebrating a domestic double by the weekend if they beat Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal in Wembley in the FA Cup final game in what has been an exciting season of football for the Stamford Bridge outfit.
