2017 Ballon D’Or: Kante, Neymar and Dybala among first 5 nominees

 

The first five names in the list of players vying for the 2017 Ballon D’Or has been announced. The likes of Neymar, Dybala, N’golo Kante, Marcelo and Luka Modric were among the first five names to be announced, as the full list of 30 nominee will be released over the course of October 9.

The players announced so far for the 2017 Ballon D’Or award all played vital and significant roles at both club and national team level. Neymar has been on the rise, and this was confirmed with his world record move to PSG.

Kante won his second Premier League title in a row after joining Chelsea from Leicester who were the former champions of the Premier League.

Dybala was impressive for Juventus as he helped the Old ladies win another Serie A title as well as impressing for Juventus as they reached last season’s UCL final.

Marcelo and Modric were very much instrumental for Real Madrid as they won the La Liga and also became the first team to ever defend the UEFA Champions League title

The next announcement to disclose more nominees is scheduled for 12:00 (CET), with further nominees to be announced at 14:00, 17:50, 18:35 respectively,  and, finally, 19:15.
