Man United’s net debt rises by nearly £130 million

This is one news that fans from the Red side of Manchester won't find appealing. Manchester United's net debt has risen to nearly £130 million following the payment of defender Harry Maguire's world record fee in cash. It can be recalled that the England international made the move to Old Trafford from Leicester City in a staggering world-record deal last summer, making him the most expensive defender in the history of the game. The deal was worth £80m and although clubs normally opt to make transfers in installments, the Old Trafford outfit agreed to pay the fee upfront after months of negotiations for the defender who was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's top target at the time. Chelsea want €40m for Emerson Palmieri

Chelsea are ready to sell Emerson Palmieri but only if the valuation of €40m is met as reports of interest from the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan continue to circulate. A report by The Sun suggested that Chelsea are considering a summer swoop for Leicester defender Ben Chilwell and it is believed that he could be a replacement for Emerson. Therefore, the idea might be to offload the Italian and use some of the funds to ensure a move for Chilwell who is valued at £50m. Emerson, 25, is open to a return to Serie A according to Calciomercato although he's happy in London. Therefore, it would take around €40m to convince Chelsea to let go of the left-back as they are not desperate to see him leave. Sheffield United are the surprise package in the Premier League

Three of the best Championship teams from the 2018/19 season were promoted to the Premier League for the 2019/20 season namely, Norwich City, Sheffield United, and Aston Villa.
