Dani Alves established himself as one of the finest fullbacks and versatile footballers in world football in his days at Barcelona where he spent most of his prime years before leaving the Camp Nou for Juventus.
The Brazilian fullback could have spent more seasons with the Old Ladies but this was not the case as it turned out to be a short spell.
Alves is very active on his Instagram social media account and normally answers questions posed to him by his followers.
He was recently asked why he left Juventus after just one season by a follower and the response from the 37-year-old was relayed by Mundo Deportivo.
The Sao Paulo FC midfielder disclosed that it wasn’t his decision to leave Turin after the 2016/17 season. According to him, the club would be heading in another direction concerning their philosophy.
“They told me they would change the way they play and it was not true!” Alves said.
Alves eventually ended up at Paris Saint-Germain where he spent two seasons.
Once his time at the Parc Des Princes was over, the versatile veteran decided to call it quits in Europe and head to Brazil where he signed with Sao Paulo.
One cannot help but imagine how Alves’ final days in Europe would have turned out if he stayed put in Juventus for more than a season. However, at this point, we can only imagine at best.
