Arsenal have reportedly completed the signing of Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria. The Gunners have been linked with a move for the 22-year-old this summer, and reports emerged earlier this week that they had an offer worth £26m accepted by Sampdoria.
According to Di Marzio reporter Fabrizio Romano, the deal that sees Torreira move to the Emirates is done.
It was belived that talks for the player would be on hold till after the World Cup as the player was representing Uruguay at the tournament but it appears that the deal was fast-tracked to secure the young midfielder before La Celeste begin their campaign against Egypt on Friday.
Arsenal have also completed the signing of Stephan Lichsteiner on a free transfer, while deals for Sokratis and Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno are expected to be completed in coming weeks.
