Aston Villa are already making plans for next season’s Premier League campaign and have identified some transfer targets for the summer.
The Villans are reportedly interested in Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard who is presently on loan to West Ham and will rival the Londoners for his signature.
The English forward has been very impressive thus far at West Ham since his loan move in January and it won’t be a surprise if the Hammers are looking to make the deal permanent.
The challenge for the Hammers is that Lingard’s impressive form has attracted the eyes of other clubs who will be interested in snapping him up this summer.
Lingard is an ideal target for Villa and it would be intriguing to see him linking up with Jack Grealish in the attack. Meanwhile, with his form this season, it remains to be seen if he’d be given another chance to prove himself under Solskjaer at Old Trafford.
However, would the 28-year-old risk a return to Old Trafford after impressing significantly at West Ham? We wait to see how Lingard’s future will be sorted out ahead of the 2021/22 football season.
Regardless, it would be advisable for the Englishman to remain at West Ham where he has established himself wholly in a short time under David Moyes who would be looking to see his deal at the club made permanent.
