Spain international Cesar Azpilicueta has put pen to paper on a new 4-year deal with Chelsea, the Stamford Bridge outfit has announced.
The announcement was made on Tuesday morning that Cesar Azpilicueta has committed to the club till 2022.
Azpilicueta, since joining the Blues from Marseille in the summer of 2012 has gone on to establish himself as one of the best players and consistent performers in the Premier League.
He has made 298 appearances for Chelsea since that time. Speaking after signing the new deal, the Spaniard said:
“I am really happy to extend my stay here at Chelsea,” he told the club’s official website.
“Since I came, I felt the joy and responsibility to play for this club, these fans, and every time I go on the pitch I try do my best. Hopefully there is a lot to come and we can keep Chelsea where it belongs.”
