Barca considering swoop for Rodrigo, Bartomeu confirms

Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu has confirmed that the club are considering a move for Valencia striker Rodrigo Moreno. Rodrigo has emerged as a target for the Catalans who are in the market after Luis Suarez’s season-ending injury.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyand is the ideal target for Barca according to Goal, although Arsenal are reluctant to enter into talks, and this shows that the deal is very unlikely.

Therefore, the Spain international has emerged as a more realistic option. He already has 4 goals to his name for Valencia this season. When asked about the mounting speculation, Bartomeu said:

“We don’t talk about players from other teams. But [Rodrigo’s] name is on the table of the coaches.

“And a replacement will arrive. I do not know whether it will be from Barcelona B or from outside [the club]. I like many players.”
