Barca eye Leipzig’s Klostermann as potential replacement for Semedo
A report from Spanish outlet Sport via Sky Germany suggests that Barcelona are eyeing a move for RB Leipzig star Lukas Klostermann as a potential replacement for right-back Nelson Semedo.
The news outlet have previously suggested that Semedo could leave Barcelona this summer with the Spanish club likely to receive around €50m for the services of the Portuguese star.
Meanwhile, the likes of Bayern Munich and Juventus have also been linked with a move for Klostermann who has broken into the Germany side following an impressive stint with RB Leipzig.
The report went on to add that Klostermann would be available for €35m due to the release clause on his contract. The fee is fair enough for the player who seemingly became a hit after the Euros.
Meanwhile, Semedo’s potential departure doesn’t seem like a major blow to the Catalans. This is because Ernesto Valverde can call upon the likes of Sergi Roberto and Moussa Wague in Semedo’s absence.
