With summer yet to come, Barcelona are reportedly ready to listen to offers for former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho due to his recent struggles with the Spanish club.

According to an emerging report from Spanish outlet MARCA, the Catalonians have dropped down a bit on the availability of Coutinho in the transfer market, with the Brazilian’s future at Camp Nou seemingly hanging on a thin rope. this is because the Spanish giants are now considering his sale if the right offer is made in summer.

Coutinho, who tagged Barcelona as his “dream club”, joined the La Liga side from Liverpool during the winter transfer of 2018 and helped the club to secure a La Liga title and Copa del Rey in his first half season with the club whilst putting up an impressive performance.

Unfortunately for the Brazilian, he was unable to replicate that same form for his dream club the following season as he struggled to fit into the team’s first eleven, having lost his starting spot to OusmaneDembele.

However, he was able to gain a  few starting spots following an injury to Dembele in recently. The injury to Dembele obviously sweetened his odds to feature regularly for the Catalan giants.

The Frenchman’s injury seemed to be just what Coutinho needed to revive his career at the Camp Nou. However, it hasn’t panned out as expected.

Reports further claim that Ernesto Valverde went very far to motivate Coutinho, holding a crisis meeting with the midfielder sometime last month, which proved to be unfruitful. The Barcelona board are apparently not happy with their €155m investment not showing his true worth.

With all that said, Barcelona are ready to listen to offers for the Brazilian as the club grows impatient with Coutinho’s inconsistency. With the Catalonians keen to make some money back, due to their €75 million Frankie de Jong.
