Bayern Munich enter race for Thomas Partey

Bayern Munich have reportedly entered the race for Arsenal target and Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey. The La Liga outfit are keen to secure the player’s future at the club on a long term basis amid interest from top clubs in Europe. They have offered to double his wages which currently stand at £65,000 per week.

Partey’s release clause of £43.6m is what has alerted the likes of Arsenal. However, they’ve been deliberating on whether to include Alexandre Lacazette as a makeweight in any potential deal due to their current financial woes.

Regardless, Bayern Munich have joined the race for Thomas Partey as they look to bring in new players when the summer transfer window opens.

The Bavarian giants are in the market for a replacement for the aging Javi Martinez who turns 32 in September and have identified the Ghanaian midfielder as a top target.
