Bendtner admits losing more than £5m playing poker

Former Gunners striker Nicklas Bendtner has admitted losing over £5m whilst playing poker. The former Arsenal made over 100 appearances in the Premier League but is currently clubless after being released by Copenhagen last season.

Bendtner, 32, now stars in a reality television series alongside his girlfriend Philine Roepstorff, a fashion model. On the show, the former Arsenal man shockingly admitted that he lost millions of pounds whilst playing Texas Hold’Em

“I lost a lot of money, an unrealistic amount,” Bendtner said on Bendtner and Philine.

“It’s hard to say how much it was in reality, but I’d estimate that it was almost 50 million Korona (£5.4m).

“It was something that I was always in control of and I simply betted big sums of money.

“Sometimes in London, things would get out of control on a night and things could really have ended badly. Now I place smaller bets of 100 Korona (£12).”

Hopefully, the towering striker who has been referred to as Lord Bendtner by various troll circles on the internet lands a club sooner than later. He still has the quality to give out to some clubs and it would be nice for such clubs to locate him.
