Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has been at the receiving end of some unscrupulous elements as his home was burgled while he celebrated the club’s first English crown in 30 years.
The Reds were handed the 2019/20 Premier League trophy after the 5:3 defeat of Chelsea at Anfield on Wednesday in a thrilling encounter that saw the Reds leading 3:1 at half time.
However, it wasn’t all joy for the Brazilian midfielder as thieves broke into his empty house at Formby between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning and stole Jewelleries and a car.
The car has since been recovered. It was found in Wigan according to a statement by a spokesman for Merseyside Police to British media.
Fabinho is not the first Liverpool player to experience such an occurrence.
It can be recalled that Senegal international, Sadio Mane, had his house burgled while he was playing his part for the Reds in the UEFA Champions League against Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in February 2019.
