Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has been arrested after an incident with a woman on Monday morning.
According to the Metropolitan Police officers, they received a call from a woman who the Chelsea attacker had invited to his apartment in the evening. Therefore, they attended to the call with the aid of an ambulance.
The Chelsea youngster was taken into police custody while the woman was sent to the hospital before the officers in charge returned to his residence to continue the investigation into what transpired.
A police spokesman said: “Police and London Ambulance Service were called at 03.53 a.m. on Sunday, May 17 to a report of an unwell woman.”
Chelsea refused to comment on the incident after being contacted by ESPN on Monday morning. However, it is expected that they’ll seek a thorough explanation from the player based on the fact that the lockdown procedures imposed by the government due to the COVID-19 pandemic are still in place.
It can be recalled that Callum Hudson-Odoi was one of the first footballers in the United Kingdom to test positive for coronavirus in March.
The winger is expected to return to group training this week if the Premier League votes favorably towards the acceptance of the safety protocols that will be determined based on the discourse between clubs, managers, players, medical experts, and government.
