Cenk Tosun joins Palace on loan until the end of the season

Turkish international Cenk Tosun has joined Crystal Palace on loan from Everton until the end of the 2019/20 season. The striker has scored 118 goals in his 10-year professional footballing career spanning across three countries and three different football leagues.

Shortly after signing the deal to join the Eagles, Crystal Palace Chairman Steve Parish said:

“We’re delighted to have secured Cenk’s services for the remainder of this season. We’ve enjoyed a great first half of the campaign and Cenk’s arrival will bolster our squad as we push for a top-half Premier League finish. Cenk has a proven record as a goalscorer and we’ve admired him for some time, so I’m very pleased to welcome him to Crystal Palace.”

Cenk Tosun, 28, has garnered a lot of experience in his playing career thus far right from his time at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga before moving to Turkish Super Lig side Gaziantepspor where he scored 10 goals in 14 appearances and a subsequent 49 goals in 128 games.


He made a move to Turkish giants Besiktas before moving to the Premier League to join Everton in January 2018. It can be recalled that Everton finished 8th in his first season at Goodison Park where he scored 10 goals.
