City are unstoppable and are overwhelming favorites for PL title
It appears the title race for defending champions Liverpool is as good as over with three consecutive losses in the Premier League. The current league leaders Manchester City are also on fire and currently lead the Reds with 13 points, with a game in hand.
The Reds started out like a house on fire whilst the Citizens were faltering with some shock losses and results early in the season. Critics were satisfied and happy with Man City’s struggles amid suggestions that the Premier League cannot be conquered by Pep Guardiola.
There were suggestions that the Spaniard had been found out and would eventually leave England on a low. However, Pep Guardiola has other plans and was working on a solution for his side all the while.
The Citizens have been unstoppable in recent months with 5 home wins, and 5 away wins adding up to 10 consecutive Premier League wins.
They’ve been consistent as is expected from the betting lovers of W88 games. The impressive run which saw them thrash the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool has shot them up the table and it appears that the teams below them can’t be consistent enough to catch them.
There were indications weeks back that city rivals Manchester United were shock favorites for the 2020/21 Premier League title.
However, doubts have been cleared in recent weeks with the Citizens now leading second-placed Manchester United with 7 points and a game in hand.
Pep Guardiola has undoubtedly proved himself a genius. The Citizens have been without key men Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne and this has not shown in their performances.
They’ve been banging the goals with ease with the likes of Ilkay Gundogan and Phil Foden stepping up to be counted.
Manchester City’s dynamism in attack is a cause for concern amongst their local rivals. They’ve proven to be a team you should fear more when they play without a recognized center-forward. They are also not letting in goals.
The Citizens have conceded just 2 goals in the last 10 Premier League games against Chelsea and Liverpool and they were all away from home in 3:1 and 4:1 wins.
They’ve not conceded in five consecutive games at the Etihad. They’ve scored 26 goals in that period.
Pep Guardiola’s men are now major favorites for the 2020/21 Premier League title and I daresay that they can only be stopped if they falter and if other teams can be consistent enough to catch up with them. However, this won’t happen.
They’ll face Everton next at Goodison Park in their Premier League outstanding game on Wednesday before traveling to face Arsenal at the Emirates. I wouldn’t bet against them amassing maximum points from both games.
