Conte’s Inter Milan ready for final against Real Madrid

Real Madrid will be facing an Inter Milan side who’ll consider the fixture as final when they meet in the UEFA Champions League at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on Wednesday night.

Both sides occupy the bottom two positions in their group with Real Madrid on 4 points and Inter Milan on 2 points with 3 games played.

The Los Blancos won the first leg between the two sides 3:2 and it was a hard-fought one as the La Liga champions lost a 2 goal lead in the game at the Bernabeu before Rodrygo scored the winner.

Inter Milan are yet to win in this season’s UCL competition and need a win on Wednesday to give themselves a fighting chance and keep themselves in good stead to qualify to the next round of the competition.

Therefore, ahead of the game against a Real Madrid side that have been blowing hot and cold this season, Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is fired up from the 4:2 Serie A win against Torino that saw them come back from a 2 goal deficit.

The Italian manager has described the game as a final during his press conference ahead of the game and rightfully so.

“For us it will be a final. After the last loss and the two first draws, we don’t have other choices, we have to try to win the game. We know how good Real Madrid is, we have to play a good match, we have to improve some aspect but in the last match we showed we are able to fight them”, Conte said.

When questioned on the fact that the likes of Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema, and Luka Jovic will not be available for the game. He replied:

“We are talking about a team full of great players, I don’t think Real Madrid could cry because of that”.

When asked if Alexis Sanchez would start. Conte said: We are already an offensive team, with two fullbacks that are wingers, it would be difficult to cover three strikers. It could be a solution but during the game”.
