Coronavirus – Juve players and staff to undergo tests in coming days

Since Daniele Rugani’s positive test for the Coronavirus, 121 individuals including Juventus players, managers, staff members, employees, and companions have been undergoing a period of voluntary home isolation in compliance with directives of the healthcare authorities.

Many are doing it in their homes, some at the J Hotel where an exclusive wing has been reserved for protagonists of the first team. Meanwhile, the next step is set to begin. According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via goal.com), in the coming days, players will be subjected to tests concerning the COVID-19 as the virus has an incubation period of 5 to 8 days.

The tests will be carried out at home while the results will take up to 24 hours. Presently, symptoms have not been shown by anybody although there is provision for those with asymptomatic infections. Once the tests are completed, the players will remain in solitary confinement until March 25 before training resumes. However, a date is yet to be set.
