Philippe Coutinho will wait till he returns from his engagements with Brazil in the Copa America before making any final decision on his stay or exit from Barcelona this summer.
The former Liverpool man has struggled to make a significant impact at Barcelona since the £105m move in January 2018, scoring just 5 goals in 33 La Liga games.
He hasn’t been spared by the fans who’ve booed and jeered him for not supposedly living up to expectations thus far.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain are interested in the Brazil international with Brazilian Leonardo returning to his role as the club’s sporting director.
As reports of a Neymar departure continues to be rife, Coutinho is being considered as an ideal partner for Kylian Mbappe. Leonardo has reportedly reached out to the player’s camp although Coutinho is fully focused on the Copa America with Brazil.
Coutinho has some of his Brazil teammates plying their trade at the Parc des Princes, and this could attract him the more to the French capital.
The Brazilian scored a brace as Brazil beat Bolivia 3 nil in the Copa America. He’s expected to feature in the remaining group stage games against Venezuela and Peru.
If Brazil make it to the final, then Coutinho’s decision on his future at club level will be on hold till after then, July 7 precisely.
