According to a report from the Evening Standard, Premier League outfit Crystal Palace are interested in signing out-of-favor Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, joining the likes of Leeds United and Fulham in the race for the Belgian’s signature.
The 26-year-old striker has struggled for adequate playing time ever since he joined Chelsea back in the summer of 2017. Batshuayi has since registered 77 appearances for Chelsea – and has gone on loan to Valencia, Borussia Dortmund, and Crystal Palace.
One would wonder how tough each of these opponents will be in the race for his signature. Regardless, it remains to be seen if Palace can surprise the USA online casino community and ease past the other suitors to secure the signing of Batshuayi
Batshuayi was the third choice striker at Chelsea last season behind Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham. He’s now further down the pecking order with the acquisition of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
Although he started just five games out of 24 in the 2019-20 season, Batshuayi still scored seven goals.
The latest report claims Leeds United want to reunite the Belgian forward with Marcelo Bielsa – after the duo worked together at Marseille during the 2014-15 season. The striker netted 10 goals despite starting just eight out of his 28 appearances.
Crystal Palace are eager to bring the Chelsea man back to Selhurst Park. He has entered the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge. However, it is reported that the South London club may struggle to afford his whooping £100,000-a-week wages.

According to the report, Batshuayi’s £100,000 a week is an enormous contract. He would easily be Leeds’ highest-paid player – and may even eclipse the current top earners by double. Palace can afford it, but it is still very expensive.
Coupled with the fact that the Belgium international is still likely to cost a sizeable transfer fee, Batshuayi is an expensive signing.
However, he may prove too expensive while he remains at Chelsea unless the club can ship him out on a loan deal. Batshuayi was also linked with a move Arsenal back in the January transfer window, according to gooner news.
