Premier League side Crystal Palace are confident of securing the services of Espanyol goalkeeper Diego Lopez in January according to reports.
The 36-year-old goalie joined Espanyol on a permanent deal this summer from Milan but has not made any appearances for the Catalan outfit this season in the La Liga despite being between the sticks 35 times last season on loan for the club.
Diego Lopez has fallen down the pecking order and is behind Pau Lopez and reports from Daily Mirror have suggested that he will make a move to Crystal Palace next month.
The officials at Selhurst Park are said to have considered his as a superior option to the likes Wayne Hennessy and Julian Speroni and would make him the first choice goalkeeper at the club.
Lopez previously played for Real Madrid where he was part of the UCL winning side in 2014. He also had stints as Villareal and Sevilla
