Dortmund CEO teases PSG after UCL round of 16 first-leg victory

Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has teased Paris Saint-Germain and saying that their world will be falling apart due to the possibility of another early elimination in the UEFA Champions League.

Dortmund beat PSG 2:1 in the first leg of their round of 16 encounters at the Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday, the same stage they’ve failed to progress from in the last three seasons of the competition.

Watzke claimed that this gives Dortmund a huge psychological advantage going into the second-leg at the Parc des Princes in three weeks.

“We are the deserved winners,” Watzke told Sky Sports after the match. “There is maximum pressure on Paris now.

“We have good chances to progress in the second leg. For Paris a world will be falling apart if they are eliminated. That’s why we hold a psychological advantage on them.

“They still have that deja vu from last year’s Manchester United match in the back of their head.”
