Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund have been given no choice but to openly fend off the wolves that have been stalking their world-class prolific target man Erling Haaland.
The Norwegian has been an asset to the club and continues to attract interest from the elite clubs in Europe as they contend with each other for the chance to acquire his signature this summer.
However, Dortmund are not ready to let go of their prized asset and Marca have disclosed a warning from the club to everyone to keep their hands off as they have no intention of letting him leave so easily.
The striker has continued his prolific form thus far and has been very consistent despite the side’s propensity to blow hot and cold in the ongoing season. His brilliance in attack has linked him with a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona.
The player was the talk of the media last week after breaking the record of the youngest player to score 20 goals in the UEFA Champions League and with the way he’s going, he will only add to his numbers as his side progresses in the competition.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos opined in a recent interview that it would be easier for Los Blancos to sign Haaland over PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, who has also been a target for the La Liga giants.
However, Dortmund Sporting Director Michael Zorc has responded to the numerous speculations, stating that Haaland’s departure from the Signal Iduna Park won’t come with any trace of easiness:
“If he ever decides to leave us, it would only be for a few teams. But we will try to keep him as long as we can. I haven’t seen anyone like him,” he said.
Regardless, Barcelona’s new president Joan Laporta has reportedly made Haaland one of his primary transfer targets. However, he wants Messi to stay while a move for Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero is being planned.
