According to The Daily Telegraph, Manchester City will allow Eliaquim Mangala to leave the club for free this summer.
Mangala has been a Citizen for the last 5 years after making the big money £42m move from Portuguese side Porto to the Etihad under Manuel Pellegrini.
However, the player has failed to show the quality that prompted the club to shell out millions for his signature since his arrival and has not shown the standard to make him fit in at the club.
Therefore, Mangala, 28, has been deemed surplus to requirements at the club for the past few seasons while the club has also failed to let him leave on a permanent basis.
Mangala has left on two loan moves to La Liga club Valencia and Premier League outfit Everton. He has failed on those two loan stints and will have no place in Pep Guardiola’s squad next season.
