A report by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Football Italia), suggests that Premier League club Everton have opened talks with the agent of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The agent known as Veronique is the player’s mother.
The Toffees tried to sign the France international in January but didn’t succeed. Since then, the player has continued to struggle with breaking into the Old Ladies’ first eleven after arriving from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
The player is keen on a move away from Turin with the likes of Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solksjaer also interested in signing him according to reports.
However, it appears the Merseyside outfit is leading the race for Adrien Rabiot’s signature presently.
It can be recalled that current Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti promoted Rabiot to the PSG first-team when he was manager of the club ahead of the 2012/13 season. Therefore, it appears that a reunion could be on the cards.
A move will only materialize if Everton’s offer is acceptable. The club are in need of quality reinforcements in their quest to become a top-six Premier League side and it is believed that the addition of Rabiot to their ranks will improve their fortunes.
Rabiot, 25, is yet to carve a niche for himself going by is huge potentials. Regardless, he still has ample time to make up for lost time and establish himself as one of the best midfielders in the game.
Everton might be a good place where this dream can be actualized.
