Serie A outfit Fiorentina director Joe Barone has denied that the club has received an offer from Juventus for in-form forward Dusan Vlahovic.

A report by La Gazzetta dello Sport suggested today that the Old Ladies are ready to make an offer of €35m for Vlahovic with Dejan Kulusevski as a makeweight.

However, Barone has refuted the claims, stating that Fiorentina has not received any offer from Turin.

“We didn’t receive any offer from Juventus and we don’t know what the player wants to do. He must inform us sooner or later.”

Meanwhile, Barone had previously released an interview with La Nazione newspaper in the morning, hinting that the club is ready to sell the star striker in the current January transfer window.

The club is reportedly no longer on good terms with the striker’s entourage and has set the asking price for Vlahovic to between €75-80m.

Regardless, the 21-year-old striker carved a niche for himself as the second most prolific striker in Europe in 2021 after scoring 17 goals in 21 Serie A games thus far.

His current contract with the club, worth €800,000-a-year expires in June 2023 and the club wants to sell him as soon as possible after he rejected an extension offer worth €4m-a-year.
