Reports suggest that Real Madrid have agreed terms with Chelsea’s talismanic attacker Eden Hazard in an attempt to sign him next season.
According to Spanish radio, Onda Madrid, the flirtation between the player and the club in the course of the summer transfer window has finally paid off with the Los Blancos agreeing terms with the Belgian.
Eden Hazard’s current contract with Chelsea expires in 2020. Regardless, the Blues will not let the Belgium international leave Stamford Bridge without putting up a fight to retain him at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea value Eden Hazard at €170m and this is a fee that the Santiago Bernabeu outfit, who are believed to be eyeing a part-exchange deal that includes Kovacic, will not be willing to shell out because the player is entering the final year of his contract.
Meanwhile, it is believed that Kovacic is not keen on a return to the Bernabeu. Therefore, it remains to be seen how the transfer developments pan out.
