Reports in Italy indicate that Inter Milan are very close to renewing Mauro Icardi’s contract with the club. It is being reported that the process is now down to just final details as bonuses are yet to be discussed.
The Serie A outfit are intent on tying down their captain to a new contract. Gazzetta dello Sport have claimed that Inter Milan have offered the Argentina international an extension until 2023 with a salary range of €5m to €6m.
It also claims that a basic agreement already exists with the player and his entourage although discussions on bonuses related to the deal are yet to be done.
The bonuses will ensure that Icardi’s salary is boosted if some personal and team objectives are met.
The negotiations are expected to be successful with the striker’s new contract expected to be made public in the coming weeks.
