Federico Chiesa was a major target for Juventus in the summer and was very close to sealing a move to Turin before Fiorentina’s new owners came in. A development which saw the move fall apart.
Before the new owners arrived, negotiations for Chiesa were moving on smoothly. An agreement was even reached with Chiesa for a five-year deal according to this report as Juve focused on lowering the €70m asking price.
However, the negotiations were blocked on the arrival of Rocco Commisso. Meanwhile, Juve will be looking to make another move for the player in the summer as Balice continues.
Inter Milan are now ready to rival Juventus for Chiesa the next time out and the first inquiries for the player have already been carried out according to reports. The clubs are now working on a strategy to land the player as they both have ample time to prepare ahead of next summer’s transfer window.
