The 2020/21 Premier League season is seeing some players shine in bright light and show off their inherent footballing potentials and one player who has covered himself in glory in this regard is Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.
The 25-year-old midfielder is having a mindblowing season and if you consider the quality alongside him and the team he plays for, you’d really want to hold him in high regard.
On the other hand, Aston Villa who barely survived relegation to the Championship last season appear to be having a fairytale season thus far and have been very impressive since the season started.
Aston Villa have played 7 games, won 5, and lost 2, and also have a game in hand. They currently have 15 points, just 3 points off Leicester on the top spot and currently sit 6th in the Premier League.
Their impressiveness thus far can’t be spoken about without the impact of Jack Grealish being mentioned. He’s the key man in the team and rightfully so, as he has rarely gone missing in big moments when he’s needed.
His performance in Villa’s 3 nil win against Arsenal at the Emirates before the international break is further proof of this.
He has also taken his impressive form to Gareth Southgate’s England team and has been receiving plaudits despite England’s 2 nil loss to Belgium.
Jack Grealish is establishing himself as one of the ideal 10s in the Premier League and this is shown in his play on the pitch as well as his numbers.
The Englishman has played 7 games for Aston Villa this season and has 4 goals and 5 assists to his name. The playmaker has been very impressive and this is shown in his Whoscored rating of 8.18.
The playmaker has not been known for scoring much but with his form this season, that could change. It can be recalled that he was heavily linked with a move to Machester United this summer although it didn’t materialize.
Regardless, with his form thus far, it’s likely that elite teams may come for him in the winter transfer window.
Jack Grealish has been very consistent this season, and surprisingly Villa too, although we could safely say it’s still early days with regards to the Villans.
However, even if Aston Villa falter at any point in the season, the playmaker will undoubtedly be one of the standout performers in the side just as he was last season.
With his recent performances, folks would want to see Jack Grealish show what he’s made up for a big side and with the way he’s going, that reality could be sooner than later. We look forward to seeing how he performs in the next Aston Villa Premier League encounter.
