Kevin-Prince Boateng’s move to Barcelona in the January transfer window was arguably one of the shocking transfers in the last decade. Regardless, his stay at the Camp Nou appears to be drawing to an end.
A report from GianlucaDiMarzio.com suggests that the Ghanaian will return to the Serie A to join Fiorentina in the next few days.
Barcelona actually needed the player as back-up for Luis Suarez who was injured. He was impressing with Sassuolo before the unexpected move to the Camp Nou.
He ended up playing just 3 La Liga games for the Catalan giants confirming his place as just a backup in the team.
If the move to Fiorentina materializes, it will be his 12th professional club. Meanwhile, he impressed more in his career in his time with AC Milan between 2010 and 2013 where he played 100 games and scored 17 goals in all competitions.
Fiorentina need some relatively decent players after finishing 16th in the Serie A last season as they escaped relegation by a whisker.
Hopefully, they can land him and see if a fruitful partnership can be established between him and Federico Chiesa if he decides to stay.
