Lampard – Wilfried Zaha not in Chelsea’s plans
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has dismissed a possible move for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha in the January transfer window.
The Ivory Coast international has been linked with the Blues even before the two-window transfer ban was halved after an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Now the Blues can sign in January after a quiet summer that saw them rely on the young stars at the club for the first half of the season. However, Lampard has now stated that Zaha is not in his plans.
According to Daily Star, Lampard said: “I wouldn’t talk about Zaha. It’s not something I’ve considered. I won’t talk about him because he’s not our plans.
“If we have to do business we will do it behind closed doors aside to announcing who I want to bring.”
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace’s valuation of Wilfried Zaha is £80m although he has scored just 3 goals and provided 2 assists in 21 Premier League games thus far.
