We may see an exciting Super Cup Clasico tonight after a long while as both sides, namely, Real Madrid and Barcelona are enjoying some relatively good form at the moment.

The Catalan giants have been improving under the new boss and club legend Xavi Hernandez and will face Carlo Ancelotti’s men tonight in Saudi Arabia for a place in the final of the competition against Atletico Madrid or Athletic Bilbao.’

Ahead of the game, Joan Laporta has fired a strong warning to Los Blancos who have been getting the better of them in recent fixtures. Barcelona currently sit outside the top four in La Liga while their rivals this evening top the La Liga log with a five-point gap.

Regardless, Blaugrana remain optimistic after the return of some key players ahead of the game in Riyadh. Ansu Fati has reached full recovery while Pedri may be set to make his fifth appearance of the season. Ferran Torres could also play a part for the Catalans in the game after being successfully registered.

These are the reasons why Barca president Laporta has the confidence to warn Los Blancos ahead of the game.

“It’s the first time having a Clásico outside Spain and we have come from Barcelona with the will to win,” he told Sport.

“We have recovered various injured players and today we will be able to count on players that until now haven’t been able to start.

“We are very hopeful in this game, we have the strength of very talented youngsters.”
