Liverpool reportedly sent scouts to watch former Machester United flop and Lyon winger Memphis Depay.
The Netherlands international is in his second season with the Ligue 1 outfit and has found the back of the net 10 times whilst providing 13 assists for Lyon in all competitions this season.
Depay is contracted to Lyon until 2021 after making the move from Manchester United for £16million in 2017. It can be recalled that his time at Old Trafford is one to forget as he struggled to impress and could only amass 7 goals in 53 appearances for the Red Devils.
According to French outlet Mercato365, the Reds sent scouts to watch the Dutch international in Lyon’s 3 nil win away to Marseille on Sunday.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp believes that his side needs reinforcement in the forward areas if the likes of Sadio Mane, Mohammed Salah and Roberto Firmino suffer any momentary loss of form.
