Chelsea star Eden Hazard has appeared at the forefront of the club’s new home jersey launch, although speculations are rife that he may not be around to wear it next season.
The Belgium international was the prominent figure in Chelsea’s launch of their new home jersey for the upcoming 2019/2020 football season.
It is believed that despite the player’s role in the launch of the new home jersey, this might actually be the only time he can grace the club’s new design as a move to Real Madrid appears to be on the cards.
The Belgian has not hidden his desire to play for Real Madrid in the future, and with his admirer Zinedine Zidane now the boss at the Bernabeu, the move is highly likely as rumors of interest from the Los Blancos have been rife.
Hazard has not put pen to paper on a new deal at Stamford Bridge as is widely expected to leave the club at the end of the season. Regardless, the player, who has been the key man at the club since his arrival remains committed to the club.
“It’s our home. Every time we step out to play in front of our fans, it just feels right.
“We’ve created so many memories at the Bridge over the years so it’s only fitting that we pay tribute to such an iconic stadium through the jersey,” Hazard said.
Chelsea have reportedly slapped a valuation of £100 million on Eden Hazard amid reported interest from Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Eden Hazard will likely play his part as Chelsea continue to fight to seal qualification into next season’s UEFA Champions League competition.
They travel to face Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of their Europa semifinal tie on Thursday. The Blues can effectively seal a place in the UCL next season if they can win the Europa League, or win their last 2 Premier League games against Leicester City and Watford.
