Reports suggest that Manchester United are willing to let Romelu Lukaku leave if any interested club meets their £80million valuation of the player.
Newly confirmed Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is believed to be interested in bringing the Belgian striker to the San Siro this summer.
It can be recalled that Conte attempted to re-sign Lukaku for Chelsea in 2017 but the latter opted for a move to Manchester United from Everton in a deal worth £75million.
According to The Times, Inter Milan are expected to make a formal approach for the striker who struggled to establish himself as a mainstay in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, next week.
Inter Milan are not willing to meet the £80million valuation but will be able to finance a move if they can sell Mauro Icardi to Juventus. The Argentine forward is stalling on a new contract.
It can be recalled that Lukakku described playing in the Serie A as a dream in April. He said: “Playing in Serie A is a dream, it would be really a dream.”
“I hope to be able to play sooner or later, even if, at the moment, I am focused on United.”
Romelu Lukaku has found the back of the net 42 times in 96 appearances for Man United and has 3 years left at Old Trafford.
