Paul Pogba’s brother, Mathias has put the blame on former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho for his brother’s struggles at Manchester United. He stated that the Portuguese manager always wants to be the center of attention.
Jose Mourinho was sacked by Manchester United after falling out with the majority of the squad. The Frenchman was also determined to leave Old Trafford last summer after his relationship with the Portuguese manager deteriorated.
It was believed that Paul Pogba would have handed in a transfer request if Mourinho had remained in charge. However, the player has returned to his best since the appointment of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Paul Pogba’s brother in a chat with French radio station RMC said: ‘The problem was Mourinho, right down the line,’
‘In the locker room, outside the locker room, everything.’
‘From what we see of Mourinho, he always wants to be the maestro, the centre of attention.’
‘Paul doesn’t even calculate that aspect. You respect him, he will respect you, you trust him, he will make you big matches.’
It can be recalled that Mourinho labeled Pogba a virus after Man United’s 2 all draw with Southampton in December and benched him in his final game against Liverpool which was a 3:1 defeat at Anfield.
Meanwhile, Paul Pogba appears to have been reborn under Solskjaer and has been banging the goals for the Red Devils.
