AC Milan are blowing hot and cold under Gennaro Gatusso and are yet to show any significant level of consistency in the Serie A. The Serie A giants have already been eliminated from the group stages of the Europa League, and are beginning to falter domestically.
Meanwhile, former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has emerged as a possible managerial target for AC Milan, although he is not a favorite, due to issues like salary demands and decisions on transfer targets.
There is also Roberto Donadoni on the list of targets although Jorge Mendes has recently suggested that Milan should go for former Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim.
Leonardo Jardim’s antecedents at Monaco speak volumes although he was relieved of his duties as the manager of the club and replaced by Thierry Henry, who continues to struggle with the side.
Leonardo Jardim masterminded Monaco’s Ligue 1 triumph and significant progress in the UCL after a long while. He can also be credited with the young talents that progressed through the ranks in his time at the club. Kylian Mbappe is a worthy mention.
The progress of the young players in his time is a pointer that Jardim can help enhance the youth players at Milan and bring them through the ranks.
However, it remains to be seen if he will be given a major consideration for the role which Gennaro Gattuso, as well as his predecessors, have struggled to fit in.
